Where is the Paper Machine Walkway used

The Paper Machine Walkway is a safe passage that surrounds each level of the paper machine for personnel inspection, operation, screen/roll replacement, and maintenance. The core covers the wet part, pressing, drying, calendering, and coiling of the entire machine, and is arranged in the operating side, transmission side, and multi-layer platform.
1、 Core position (by paper machine section)
Wet section (mesh section): above/on both sides of the chest roller, mesh table, and vacuum pressure roller, it is necessary to replace the mesh, clean the mesh surface, adjust the vacuum/spray water; The width of the main aisle on the operating side should be ≥ 800mm, and a space of ≥ 1.2m should be left after the net is replaced and pulled out.
Squeezing section: around the first/second/third pressure rollers and felt tensioning/correction device, replace felt, adjust pressure in the pressure zone, and clean the roller surface/felt; Multi story walkways connect the upper and lower press rollers.
Drying staff: inspect the temperature/pressure, replace the drying net, clean the surface of the drying cylinder, and deal with paper breakage near the upper and lower layers of the drying cylinder group and the steam pipeline/condensate recovery system; High temperature area corridors are equipped with insulation and anti slip layers.
Calendering/gluing section: calendering rollers, both sides of the gluing machine, adjusting roller gap/pressure, changing rollers, cleaning the glue tank.
Winding/rewinding section: above the paper roll, next to the roll cylinder/mother roll, monitoring the winding tension, changing rolls, and handling paper breaks.
Transmission side (non operating side): The longitudinal channel of the entire machine is used for maintenance of the reducer, motor, coupling, and transmission gear, with a width of ≥ 1.0m.
Multi layer platform: bottom layer (ground -1m), middle layer (2-3m, wet part/press), high layer (4-6m, drying part top/hood), connected to the whole machine, easy to maintain at high altitude.
2、 Core purpose
Personnel safety passage: Avoid stepping on rollers/nets, prevent falling, equipped with guardrails, anti slip plates, and insulation layers.
Daily inspection operation: Check the quality of paper forming/dehydration/drying, adjust parameters, and handle minor faults.
Key replacement tasks: changing the forming mesh, changing the felt, changing the drying mesh, and changing the rollers/cylinders (most commonly used scenarios).
Equipment maintenance and repair: lubrication, fastening, cleaning, replacement of bearings/seals, maintenance of transmission/electrical systems.
Emergency response: Quickly and effectively handle situations such as paper breakage, deviation, mesh blockage, and slurry leakage.
